I change my N650 for this MS650 and this is another league clean dialogue, great for music and movies.Explendid this another league.

So, this gets 4 to 5 stars in the audio department. Its a great sounding speaker. Amazing for music, good for movies/tv, a surprisingly full sound (bass/mid/treble) for a sound bar. Some of this probably comes from the size. It's a large bar. Heavy, wide, and thick. Much larger than soundbars I have had in the past, and a good 2x the size of the soundbar that replaced it (the newer N650). So, with such great sound, why replace it? This was used in the bedroom. The problem is that while we are watching TV (esp. the wife) there is often a lot of pausing to deal with the kids, or the million other reasons you pause a show. Normally you would think this isn't a big deal. With this soundbar, it shuts off after 10 mins (there is no way to change this), and since there is no IR, so there is no way to turn it back on without standing up and hitting the power button. There are other options, you can turn the TV off and back on, use the app - which takes just as long to load and toggle the audio on the soundbar as standing up. To call this frustrating would be an understatement, and my wife actually wanted me to just return it. Instead I bought the newer Samsung N650, which doesn't shutoff after 10 mins, and has IR built in, so you can turn it back on easily ever if it does, and I'll be moving the MS650 to the porch, where it serves light duty as an audio device. Samsung could fix this with a firmware update, but doesn't seem interested in doing so, as if you search the forums, auto-off has been a frustrating issue for many for a while. The downside of replacing it, is that the N650 doesn't sound quite as full as a standalone bar. It includes a subwoofer to make up for this, but if I were to do a direct side-by-side comparison between the two, I think the MS650 would actually slightly edge out the N650, and would significantly do so without the N650 subwoofer. The upside (other than getting a good SB for the porch, which I was going to buy anyway) is that the N650 does have more "presence". With the MS650, the sound comes from the SB. The N650 also gives you the feeling of sound coming from around you. It doesn't have the same impact as actual dedicated surround/height speakers, but it does add a bit to the immersion when watching movies and shows. Final note, this is an amazing sounding bar for the prices you can find it for, however if this is for a location where you might be pausing the action often, I would buy a newer Samsung bar, either the N or Q line.

I bought them a month ago. Comcast set them up but I am unable to program them to my WiFi, or my Samsung SmartTV connection guide, get decent sound through my tv via streaming or standard tv programs. Tried getting in touch with Samsung Tech Support to come out. They called me once, I tried returning their call to no avail.

If I knew in advance that it has Auto Power Down Function that you can't disabled - I wouldn't buy it regardless of price or sound quality. The fact that I have to pay attention to what is actually producing sound (TV or soundbar) is ridiculous. You pause video and when you return Soundbar is turned off. It's sad that I realized it so late and can't return it back to the store. Only this simple "feature" makes it not wanting to recommend it (or any Samsung soundbar with this feature) to a friend.
