My apartment building was undergoing a major renovation and we were converted from gas to electric. Originally We were all very resistant to the change and had a numerous amount of complaint such as the increase in electric cost and the quality of the cooking ability on an induction stove. Most of my products now and in the past have always been Frigidaire because I trust the quality of the product they produce and the induction stove is no exception. There was a slight learning curve as far as getting the temperature correct for the item I was cooking, but now that I've got it down pack I love the stove. it cooks very well. The features on the stove are displayed and easy to move from one thing to the other and the oven baking and broiling features are fantastic and as far as electric cost I found no major increase in my bill as a result of using the electric as opposed to gas. Two things you need to do, 1. The cookware you purchase must be induction in order to function with the stove. I purchase a set for under $120.00 and they work well, but I felt that the cookware was not fully connecting with the whole pan in order to cook stuff evenly. I purchased another set and they do work better and whatever I'm cooking the whole pan is getting hot and connecting with the range. I love the stove. 2. Please buy the Frigidaire cleaner they sell for the stovetop($5.99) it cleans it off like the range is brand new, clean the stove with it before you use the range to avoid scratches. I am pleased as always with my Frigidaire purchase. Enjoy yours.

Fast or slow cooking is consistent every time on this cooktop. Water for tea in less than two minutes and cheese sauces never scorched on the lowest setting. It gave me an excuse to get new pots and allowed us to use our cast iron as well. Great product.

No natural gas in my area and I hate standards electric stoves, so great that Frigidaire has produced an induction range at reasonable cost. Induction heats quickly and precisely. The cooktop is fine.The oven however makes an ear-splitting noise, so loud it is painful to be in the same room with the unit. I am awaiting a repair visit to determine if this is fixable. I'm hoping it's not an inherent defect as it is entirely unacceptable.
