We were looking for a dryer without electronic touchpads or controls since inevitably they die and are extremely expensive to replace. This one fits our purpose nicely. It is quiet, the controls are simple, and so far it works well. The only negative point is that it only has a rear exhaust vent and I wold have preferred a side vent
