broken hdr, broken freesync. no freesync on 49" option despite unique product page claiming it has it. spent hours trying to resolve on phone, and chat. days even. nothing. they don't care. hdr10 doesn't even work. bought a stadia premier for my new games, cuz they werent' working right over pc.. hdr wouldn't work.. so whatever. i bought a stadia kit. even their hardware says it's not compatible. feeling like i'm getting lied to about this tv every time i have an issue.

i bought the 49" q70 in 2019 because it was the first under 55" led on the market with full array local dimming (fald). it has great picture and no issues but the 49" model refresh rate is only 60hz; every other q70 model is 120hz. it doesn't include freesync. the new 2020 49" qled has these same omissions. freesync and 120hz are pluses for gaming and the new generation consoles and pc's support these. also this year lg does have a sub 55" oled and not only does it have 120hz refresh it supports both freesync and g sync.

I purchased this 3 months ago updated my previous 1080p set. It has great color and I have no issues with the refresh rate (not a gamer and it's fine with movies). The sound from the TV alone is very good. My issues are with some features that are unnecessary and some that are require scanning through menus. For example, there is a dedicated button for Netflix. I'm never going to need that. I use my surround system to watch all movies not apps on the TV. Plus it's just another app and is easily accessible through the Menu button. The ambient mode is something else I'm never going to need or use. That doesn't need a designated button either. I've completely turned off Bixby. First the voice recognition never understood what I was asking. Second, it would interupt programming by turning on by itself without my pushing the microphone button. Changing Bixby's settings didn't help. Missing on the remote are a source or input button which would be helpful switching between different HDMI inputs. It'd be nice to have a settings button also. Settings and source have to be accessed through Menu and then scrolling far left. I understand the idea was to have this all work by voice but it doesn't plus there is not reason it couldn't have a functional remote and voice activation if Samsung ever perfects it which I'm sure they will. I do recommend the TV for picture quality/resolution/color/contrast, which was the reason I bought it.

Such a great TV. I've had this TV for about 2 weeks and i can say i'm extremely happy with this purchase. I don't have a large room so the sound is great and sounds better with "amplified mode". The smart is a NERD, one remote that controls all my devices (except ps4) but controls my Fios cable to my Fire Stick. Easy apple airplay connection and even the Bixby voice works well for me.

Bought yesterday Picture is dark even on dynamic settings Have gone thru all the expert settings and picture still not as bright as our old series 8 49 inch
