this is our first smart tv. we are limited by our space, so the 43” was the largest we could accomodate. we are pleased with the picture quality, the sound quality and the apps. the one thing that is disappointing is that the personal assistants will not change the channels on our dish network stations although they work for other functions. i dont know why that is but it makes it cumbersome at times. it might be different for cable tv. however, we are very pleased with it so far in spite of that issue. i think we were surprised by the sound quality, which was terrible in our prior television.

i’ve been shopping for a new tv for about 3 years now, i’ve gone with the samsung 8 series 43”. i bought it hooked up soundbar through the hdmi arc. at first it worked without a hitch, mind you i’ve had this tv for about 24 hours now, when hdmi arc stops recognizing the soundbar at you can’t find the source in the list so it reverts to tv audio. i have to unplug cord from tv and wait and then reconnect power up so the tv recognizes the darn soundbar. i shouldn’t have to do this, what did i spend my money on,? what am i doing wrong? i may take this tv back and buy a cheaper version such as lg

the tv stopped working after a few days of use. called samsung and they said they would send a tech 3 weeks later no tech or call

i used to be a big fan of another brand until i sat and thought that i have always had good luck with samsung product so why not try one of the tvs and i am so glad i did. it is a great tv with superb clarity

first- the setup is rather aggravating. there are few instructions and unexpected requests for information. second- the picture is quite brights and color tones are not rich. you feel like you need to step back. third- the remote is impossible for an elderly person such as the party this was bought for. it has a few unreadable buttons that function differently depending where you are. fourth-navigation is unpleasant. you can barely use it as a simple brainless tv. you have to select your cable vendor every time and it is easy to land in no man's land. not so bad for this reviewer but again not an elderly person's best pick. i cannot identify anything especially good about this tv so it gets 3 stars.
