I bought this about a month ago. My old Whirlpool was in this home when we purchased it 21 years ago and it has worked perfectly until about a month ago when water came gushing out of the bottom left side. We therefore purchased another Whirlpool, but the sales person said, "This Whirlpool won't last that long." What a shame if that is true! I would think technology would have advanced to the point of being able to create an even better product. Actually, the interior design IS better than the last and holds more. We'll just hope that our good care will lengthen the life of this one. We now run the dishwasher either every day or every other day since we have a big family and some of them (8 for 8 months, 5 for 3 years, etc.) have lived with us so it has had heavy use--running at least once a day. Thanks, Whirlpool for making a good product.

We have had our dishwasher about two weeks and it works great. SUPER quiet and dishes are squeaky clean with next to no pre-wash! Very happy with our purchase.
